Artwork & Critical Essays > Multi-Sensory Fusionism

The "Epiphanies" Installation/Performance was a collaboration between writer/artist Richard Kostelanetz and Shalom Neuman. It is based on the 1988 film by Richard Kostelanetz of the same name.

"Epiphanies" is a film of single-sentence stories meant to be so evocatively sufficient that the remainder of the story, neither ahead no behind, need not be told. Collected together, these climatic moments within otherwise nonexistent stories provoke a fictional experience that is not linear but spatial; not sequential, but thoroughly discontinuous; not nineteenth-century, but twentieth-first.
